WHO IS COVERED?

Whipple’s warranty obligations for the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) identified below is limited to the original owner of the vehicle in which the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) is installed and who has submitted the proper documentation in order to active this warranty. This warranty is not transferable to a second owner and is secondary to all other warranties and manufacturers recall that may be in effect. The term Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) as used in this warranty applies to each Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) identified below.

SUPERCHARGER KIT(S)  -   WARRANTY PERIOD

PART NUMBER(S): Refer to Part Number Matrix for applicable kits.

3 years or 36,000 miles (60,000 km) from the date of original installation by the original end-user purchaser, whichever occurs first on Whipple components only.

WARRANTY COVERAGE

If Whipple Supercharger determines that a Whipple Supercharger supplied Part(s) purchased from an Authorized Whipple Supercharger Dealer is defective, and it was returned for warranty reasons within the Warranty Period, at our option we will either (1) repair the Part(s) at no charge or (2) replace the Part(s) with one that is new or remanufactured. A replacement Part(s) that has been installed in accordance with Whipple Supercharger instructions, assumes the remaining warranty of the original Part(s) replaced. If a Part(s) or any component thereof is exchanged, the replacement becomes your property, and the returned Part(s) or component becomes Whipple Supercharger’s property. Part(s) or any component thereof provided by Whipple Supercharger to you to fulfill its warranty obligation must be used in the Part(s) for which warranty service is claimed. Whipple Supercharger shall have no liability for the cost of installation or removal of the defective product or for the cost of labor or any additional parts required to complete the installation of the replacement product.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER/EXCLUSIONS/LIMITATIONS:

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND ITS REMEDIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHIPPLE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, STATUTORY, OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IF WHIPPLE CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM ANY STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND THE WARRANTY COVERAGE DESCRIBED HEREIN. This warranty covers only defects in our materials or workmanship, and does not apply to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) exterior engine components, ignition, fuel system or damage related to or arising from:

A. Use of fuel with octane rating less than 91 (R+M)/2 (requires premium fuel). 

B. Improper installation, abnormal operation, abuse, neglect, lack of maintenance or lack of fluids, or damage resulting from a collision. Operation of such an impaired vehicle will void this warranty. The vehicle owner is responsible for ensuring no further damage occurs once damage has occurred.

C. Covered components being tampered with or altered from factory specifications (OEM or Whipple) such as supercharger pulley and supercharger porting.

D.   The use of non-Whipple approved accessories, such as, headers, air induction, unsupported fuel additives, camshafts, nitrous oxide systems, and other aftermarket products.

E.   Failure to perform normal maintenance and/or service recommended or required by the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule for your vehicle, or Whipple, as applicable as well as any damage caused by any gradual reduction in operating performance (wear & tear).

F.  Abuse related to overloading, PCM recalibration or lack of using the Whipple calibration, misuse, negligence, road conditions, unapproved tire size and/or tire compound, and other non-approved modifications. Approved modifications are limited to the following: exhaust modifications beyond the catalytic converter (referred to as NO CLAIMS WILL BE PAID WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION 3 WSC_PW_R8 – 11_20_23 cat-back or post cat); wheel and tire modifications that are within fifteen percent (15%) of OEM or factory-equipped size (modified tires are only allowable if they’re one hundred percent (100%) street compound).

G.  Any damages to the vehicle and/or the Whipple components during the installation procedure, participating in or preparation of the vehicle for off-road and/or racing (on a track or otherwise), fires, flood, riots, acts of war or terrorism, theft, vandalism, natural disasters, physical damage, consequential damage and acts of God are not covered.

H.  Wear type items such as spark plugs, accessory belts, oil and idler pulleys.

This is not a performance warranty. It does not cover any vehicle in which the Whipple Supercharger(s) is installed. It is a warranty covering those specific components Listed under warranty coverage. Except as provided in this warranty and to the extent permitted by law, Whipple is not responsible for direct, special, indirect, consequential, incidental or punitive damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory Including, without limitation, loss of revenue, loss of actual or anticipated profits (including loss of profits on contracts), loss of the use of money; loss of anticipated savings; loss of business; loss of opportunity; loss of goodwill; loss of reputation; loss of earnings; personal damages; personal Injury including death; personal expenses (food, room, medical, dental); rental vehicle expenses; towing; storage or any other loss or damage howsoever caused including the replacement of the vehicle on or in which the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) is installed or other property.

OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE

For customers, we recommend that you take your vehicle to an Authorized Whipple Supercharger dealer or OEM dealership to begin the warranty claim process. A list of dealers can be found on Whipple Superchargers website. 

Whipple Superchargers or its authorized service providers is solely responsible for providing warranty service on valid warranty claims on part(s) that are submitted for service during the Warranty Period, as permitted by law. You will be responsible to submit proof of the date of retail purchase indicated on your service invoice and or proof of the odometer reading. You may be responsible for shipping and handling charges if the part(s) cannot be serviced in the country it is in. In accordance with applicable law, we may require that you furnish proof of purchase details and/or comply with registration requirements before receiving warranty service. 

If a warranted component has failed, please contact Whipple Superchargers immediately at support@whipplesuperchargers.com to open a warranty case. 

We shall have the right to deny any warranty claim if any one of the above conditions is not fully satisfied.

CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS

This warranty is valid only in the United States and Canada. Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages or the duration of implied warranties or conditions so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or province. The laws of the state of California (excluding its conflict of law’s provisions) will govern this warranty. The U.N. Convention for the International Sales of Goods will not apply. Any action brought to enforce or interpret this warranty shall occur only in a court of the State of California, County of Fresno, or in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Either reseller or its employee, nor any employee of Whipple Superchargers is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.

Whipple Superchargers reserves the right to modify this limited warranty at any time, however, any such modification will not alter the warranty conditions applicable at the time of sale.

NOTICE TO INSTALLER/RESELLER

Please make this written warranty available to the prospective buyer for review before the sale. Also, please supply a copy of this written warranty to any consumer who purchases part(s) covered by this warranty.

WARRANTY ACTIVATION

To activate this warranty, you must send the registration card to Whipple Superchargers customer service. Your completed form can be emailed to support@whipplesuperchargers.com or mailed to the address on the form (see end of document). Warranty documentation must be sent within THIRTY (30) DAYS of the service order installation date identified on your installation receipt.

WHO IS COVERED?

Whipple’s warranty obligations for the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) identified below is limited to the original owner of the vehicle in which the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) is installed and who has submitted the proper documentation in order to active this warranty. This warranty is not transferable to a second owner and is secondary to all other warranties and manufacturers recall that may be in effect. The term Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) as used in this warranty applies to each Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) identified below. 

SUPERCHARGER KIT(S) WARRANTY PERIOD

PART NUMBER(S): Refer to Part Number Matrix.  3 years or 36,000 miles (60,000 km) from the vehicle’s original in-service date as determined by Ford OASIS (On-Line Service Information System) report. 

WARRANTY COVERAGE

When a Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) purchased from an Authorized Whipple Dealer is correctly and completely installed by a certified automotive technician or automotive service technician certified by the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) on an eligible, legally registered, and licensed vehicle with an operational odometer, Whipple will cover defects in materials and workmanship during the Warranty Period, as solely determined by us.

Below are those vehicle components covered and not covered under this warranty:

ENGINE COMPONENTS

COVERED: Pistons, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and bearings, connecting rods and bearings, camshafts and bearings, timing chain and gears, intake/exhaust valves and seals, valve springs, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, lifters, and superchargers. If a failure of any of these parts damages either the engine block or cylinder heads, a remanufactured long block assembly will be provided up to the maximum coverage of $7500.00 (USD).

NON-COVERED: Those engine components specifically not listed including, but not limited to, parts, filters, idlers, belts, etc., that are required to be replaced as a part of the vehicle’s normal maintenance schedule are not covered under this warranty.

TRANSMISSION COMPONENTS:

COVERED: Torque converter, oil pump, governor, bands, drums, planetaries, shaft(s), sprag(s), bearings, shift rail(s), fork(s), and synchronizers.

NON-COVERED: All-wheel drive vehicles are excluded from transmission coverages under this warranty. Failure of related parts external to the transmission that cause a transmission claim, including but not limited to, transmission coolers, levers, controls, etc., void coverage under this warranty.

FRONT AND REAR AXLE IS NOT COVERED

TRANSFER CASE IS NOT COVERED

SUSPENSION IS NOT COVERED

NO CLAIMS WILL BE PAID WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION 

When you present us with a valid, properly documented warranty claim during the Warranty Period, Whipple will replace the defective component(s) covered by this warranty or, at our option and sole discretion, refund the purchase price you paid for the particular Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) purchased. We reserve the right to improve or modify the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) without assuming any obligation to update or replace any previously manufactured or sold Whipple Supercharger Kit(s).

Our total liability per covered vehicle under this warranty is limited to $9,500.00 USD (aggregate). Each covered component has its own aggregate value which when combined equals the total liability per vehicle. The engine is covered for $7500.00 USD and $2000.00 USD per transmission. These amounts cannot be combined together to aid in the repair of another covered component. In the rare case when the repair cost exceeds the actual cash value of the vehicle, we will refund the purchase price of the Whipple Supercharger kit(s) once the complete kit is returned prepaid to us.

In the event that the amount of any one authorized repair or the combined total amount of all authorized repairs meets or exceeds Our liability, Your Program will be deemed expired, and no further coverage will be afforded to You, regardless of the remaining time or mileage of Your Program’s Plan Period. 

A replacement Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) or component(s) that has been installed in accordance with our instructions, assumes the remaining warranty of the original replaced. If a Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) or any of its component(s) is exchanged, the replacement becomes your property and the returned Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) or component(s) becomes our property.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER/EXCLUSIONS/LIMITATIONS: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS WARRANTY AND ITS REMEDIES ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES, AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, STATUTORY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AS PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WHIPPLE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL EXPRESS, STATUTORY, OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND WARRANTIES AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS. IF WHIPPLE CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM ANY STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES THEN TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD AND THE WARRANTY COVERAGE DESCRIBED HEREIN.

This warranty covers only defects in our materials or workmanship, and does not apply to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) exterior engine components, ignition, fuel system or damage related to or arising from:

N. Abuse related to overloading, PCM recalibration, misuse, negligence, road conditions, unapproved tire size and/or tire compound, and other non-approved modifications. Approved modifications are limited to the following: exhaust modifications beyond the catalytic converter and exit behind rear axle (referred to as cat-back or post cat); wheel and tire modifications that are within fifteen percent (15%) of OEM or factory-equipped size (modified tires are only allowable if they’re one hundred percent (100%) street compound). WARNING: Aftermarket “cat-back” exhaust system that have “cut-outs” prior to rear axle are not supported and will void all warranties.

O. Any damages to the vehicle and/or the Whipple components during the installation procedure, participating in or preparation of the vehicle for off-road and/or racing (on a track or otherwise), fires, flood, riots, acts of war or terrorism, theft, vandalism, natural disasters, physical damage, consequential damage and acts of God are not covered.

P. Wear type items such as spark plugs, accessory belts, Supercharger belts, filters, oil and idler pulleys.

Q. Failure to properly break-in new vehicle and engine as per OEM supplied break-in instructions included in OEM owner’s manual.

R. Any fluids, lubricants, refrigerants, filters or fasteners unless required in connection with repair or replacement of covered parts under the terms of this warranty; including but not limited to shop supplies, materials charges, hazardous waste charges, storage charges or miscellaneous charges are not covered.

This is not a performance warranty. It does not cover any vehicle in which the Whipple Supercharger(s) is installed. OBTAINING WARRANTY SERVICE

To obtain warranty service on your vehicle upfitted with the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s), the vehicle must have an

operational odometer and have maintenance services performed at the intervals as stated in the Ford Motor Company’s

vehicle maintenance schedule, either at a Ford dealership or commercial maintenance center. You must present these

invoices in the unlikely event of a warranty claim; therefore, we strongly recommend that you retain them for your records.

You must submit copies of the following documents with your warranty claim: (a) your warranty registration form, (b) the

receipt showing installation of the Whipple Supercharger Kit(s) by a certified Ford Automotive Technician or ASE automotive

service technician, and (c) all requested vehicle maintenance records.

Your failure to contact us and receive authorization before any repair work is performed will invalidate your warranty claim.

If a warranted component has failed, please contact us immediately at support@whipplesuperchargers.com to open

a warranty case. You must authorize the repair facility to tear down the component for inspection before we authorize the

repair or replacement of a failed component covered by this warranty. If the failed component is not covered under this

warranty, the tear down and subsequent repair or replacement costs are solely your responsibility.

An ASE certified repair facility must complete the repair or replacement based on the written estimate they provide to us.

We base labor rates for repair or replacement services on OEM Warranty labor time standards.

We shall have the right to deny any warranty claim if any one of the above conditions is not fully satisfied.

CONSUMER PROTECTION LAWS
